Stump Removal or Grinding
Stump removal has differences, depending on what is planned for that area. There are two different ways to remove a stump; grinding and excavation.
Grinding chews up the surface roots and base of the trunk to an average depth of 2 inches below the grade. Grinding is best if grass will be planted to reclaim that space.
Excavation of stumps will completely remove the stump and roots in its entirety and is ideal when planting in the same location is desired.
Both grinding and excavation services come with many options from leaving a pile of debris to replacing sod.
